Jesmonite akryyliresiini
AC100 sekoitetaan painon mukaan suhteessa 2,5:1. 2,5 osaa Jesmonite AC100 Base -jauhetta ja 1 osa Jesmonite AC100 Liquid -nestettä.
Sekoitussuhdetta voi muuttaa suhteeseen 3:1, jolloin massa kovettuu nopeammin ja sitä voi käyttää saumojen, ja ilmakuplien täyttöön sekä valutöihin yhteen liittämiseen.
Työvälineet
Jesmoniten kanssa työkentelyyn tarvitaan: vaaka, sekoitustikkuja esim. jäätelötikku, silikonimuotteja ja sekoituskuppeja.
Sekoitus ja pigmentin lisääminen
Jesmonite AC100 on luonnonvalkoinen, mutta sitä voi sävyttää Jesmoniten pigmenteillä, nestemäisillä pigmenteillä, jauhepigmenteillä ja akryyliväreillä.
Lisää pigmentti AC100 nesteeseen ja sekoita hyvin. Lisää Jesmonite jauhe hitaasti nesteeseen. Sekoita hyvin, kunnes seos on tasainen. Välttääksesi ilmakuplien syntymistä, älä sekoita liian nopeasti. Suurempia määriä sekoittaessa voit käyttää sähkövatkainta apuna, pienempiin määriin jäätelötikku tai silikonilasta riittää. Huomioithan, että jos pigmenttiä on seoksessa liikaa, voi se vaikuttaa Jesmoniten kovettumiseen ja kestävyyteen.
Työskentelyaika
Sekoitetun massan kanssa työskentelyaikaa on 5min. Lämmin ja kylmä säätila voivat vaikuttaa työskentelyaikaan.
Valaminen
Kaada pieni määrä seosta muottiin ja levitä seosta pinnalle tasaisesti. Ilmakuplien välttämiseksi, käytä esimerkiksi puhdasta sivellintä seoksen levittämiseen kulmiin ja pieniin koloihin. Täytä koko muotti ja taputtele muottia jotta mahdolliset ilmakuplat nousevat pintaan.
Kovettuminen
Anna työn kovettua muotissa 30-40 minuuttia. Lopullinen kovettuminen tapahtuu 24 tunnin kuluttua. Lopulliseen kovettumiseen vaikuttaa valutyön koko, lämpötila ja ilmankosteus. Älä jätä työtä kovettumaan muottiin, sillä muotissa työ alkaa hikoilla eikä kovetu kunnolla. Jesmonitella valetulla työllä on ominaishaju, joka katoaa ajan kuluessa.
Viimeistely
Hio tarvittaessa hiekkapaperilla. Aloita karkeammalla hiekkapaperilla ja viimeistele hienommalla. Jesmoniten pinta on kovetuttuaan sileä ja kova. Jesmonite on kuitenkin huokoista materiaalia, eikä siten esimerkiksi kosteudenkestävä. Jesmoniten pintaa voi kiillottaa puhtaalla puuvillaliinalla. Jesmoniten pintaa voi myös lakata ja vahata erilaisilla vesipohjaisilla lakoilla. Liimaamiseen soveltuu epoksiliimat.
Työvälineiden puhdistus
Jesmonite on vesipohjaista ja siten helppo puhdistaa. Laita sekajätteeseen kaikki käyttämätön Jesmonite seos ja pese kädet, työvälineet ja muotit vedellä ja saippualla.
